Rhondda Heritage Park

On Thursday, class 2 and 6 went on an educational visit to Rhondda Heritage Park to find out all about what life was like to work in the mines. The children were taken on a tour through a pretend mine and helped lift lumps of coal into the wagons. They also had the opportunity to play with some old toys and try on the clothes that people would have worn when all the coal mines were open. The children had a fantastic day and really appreciated the conditions that the children of the mines would have to work in.
