Educational Visits and Trips
Educational visits are an exciting aspect of school life and eagerly looked forward to by the children. This year’s trip to Austria and the preparations for it will give the children involved the chance to learn to ski. A team building trip to Kingswood Outdoor Education centre will help with group and interpersonal skills. The visit to Victorian school in St.Fagans, brings history to life with the children experiencing the discipline, dress code and conditions the children of the time had to endure.
With Cardiff so close, exhibitions at the museum and demonstrations at Techniquest allow the children to see top quality artefacts, materials, and demonstrations first hand. Historical trips to Caerleon, industrial heritage sites and local castles are arranged to help inspire interest in the children. Artistic are brought to the fore through links with and visits to the local Model House Arts Centre.The Christmas pantomime excursion is a regular part of the festive celebrations enjoyed at the school. The end of summer term department trips are a chance for the whole school community to end the year together on a high note.During their time at Llantrisant Primary your children will be given the opportunity to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of South Wales, first hand.
