Welcome to the first stage of our very exciting new project. We have a few ideas about what we will be doing and we have begun to do some background work, using our imagination and improving our skills.

Minecraft element: Practise making rectangular rooms for a castle. Make sure you always put a bed in so you can sleep when it gets dark.

You have been working hard all week and will by now know about the country Bhutan who also have a dragon on their flag and it's time to reveal the exciting news that we have a visitor arriving from Bhutan soon.
Chi the Dragon is looking for a new home and along with children from nine other schools, we will be designing a new castle for him. We have the job of designing a fantastic castle kitchen for him and we will be using our understanding of castles to help make sure his castle is well built and well defended.

Chi the mystical Bhutanese Dragon has left his home land in search of somewhere amazing to live - of course he is most impressed by our beautiful local area Llantrisant. We have a dragon on our flag ....like him, We have a strong heritage with Archery.....like him and we have a wonderful castle of our own that he could share. We have begun to design a castle kitchen for Chi, after all, to a hungry Dragon the kitchen is the most important room!

We have been reading about the Hooligan Tribe and their quest to find,capture and train a variety of dragons. We have begun to describe and draw Dragons of our own.
Brick Building Challenge - Can we build a castle wall ?

- The bricks had to be the same size
- We had to build the longest or tallest wall we could
- The wall had to be stable
