Welcome to our new termly PTA newsletter. The first of these, Autumn 2023 is attached below with details of some of the events we have planned for the coming weeks. Please feel free to come and chat to us about any ideas you may have, offers to help or even join us on the committee!

The Christmas card examples should now have come home. Juniors did them in school but they should have brought them home for you to see, FP pupils, we asked parents to help out by doing them at home.

Thank you to Lisa Bryant for leading the Finance meeting at the AGM.
It was lovely to see some new faces, so thank you to all that attended and those that have offered to help out at events!

The PTA AGM will take place at Llantrisant Primary at 3.30pm on Monday 3rd October. All parents are welcome. It will be a short meeting where the accounts from last year will be presented.
Pupils are welcome to stay in school, there will be a member of staff in the park to watch them.

The Summer Fair is THIS Friday!! Please come along and support the PTA and the School in raising money for the children.
We have a fantastic raffle, £1 a strip with lots of great prizes, cakes stalls, a BBQ, class stalls, games, a dance show from the Artis dancers, bouncy castle, a gladiator duel and lots of prizes to be won.
This friday 3.30pm- 6pm.Everyone Welcome!

There is a PTA meeting this week, Thursday 12th May, 12.15pm at school. All welcome.
After discussions with the staff and pupils it has been decided that the PTA events will be raising money for the school to buy a large adventure play area. The equipment will be suitable for all pupils and will encourage confidence, play opportunities, gross motor skills, balance and lots more.
Currently the PTA have a good amount saved but we need lots more to give the pupils what they want.
Please help by supporting as many events as you can.

The summer fair will be on Friday 8th July. The main raffle prize will be a wheelbarrow filled with alcohol!!!! Raffle tickets will be sent home in due course, and will be available on the day for £1 a strip.
We are collecting donations for raffle prizes if anybody would like to donate.

- Raffle- donations required
- Wheelbarrow full of alcohol, Thank you to Vanessa Barty for donating the wheelbarrow. We are accepting donations for bottles to fill it.
- White elephant stall- donations required (please do not send these in until the week beginning 27th June as we have limited storage at school)
- Hands!!! We need all hands on deck on the friday afternoon from 1.30pm to help set up, and hands on stalls from 3.30pm, if your available to help out please get in touch with one of the PTA members
- Stalls- we are offering crafts stall a space at the summer fair for £8 a table plus a raffle prize donation
- Brochure, this year we will have a brochure that anyone is welcome to advertise in, please get in touch with a PTA member for more information
- Posters, leafletting and any other donations;- as you know we are small school and a small PTA. Any help, and ideas!! are very much appreciated

There was an excellent turnout at the Easter egg hunt last night. The event raised £116 for PTA funds. So Thank you all very much!!

The PTA have been busy planning events for the pupils on the run up to Easter.
This year there will be an Easter egg hunt on Wednesday 23rd March. It will take place at school between 3.30pm- 4pm and will only cost £1 per child to enter, everyone will win a prize too!!
The second event planned is an Easter bonnet Parade(for bonnet ideads see the links below). The Parade will take place in school during Assembly time on Thursday 24th March, pupils can bring their decorated bonnets to school with them. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for both the Foundation Phase and the Juniors. ................ so get crafting!!
